GSB Admission Policy

Open Admission for STEM and Non-STEM AI MBA tracks

Access to the MSc AI/Data Science and AI MBA coursework for all tracks is open and does not require formal admission. Exceptions are made only for Executive AI MBA / Forum tracks because of institutional integrity. Online coursework is provided as foundational academic infrastructure and may be completed independently by any participant who meets the stated prerequisites. Completion of coursework alone does not constitute admission to the degree program.

Eligibility for the in-person residency is contingent upon successful completion of the designated coursework and demonstrated engagement with the academic material. Residency participation is required for graduation and is conducted under full-time, in-person supervision.

The degree is awarded only upon successful completion of the residency and satisfaction of graduation requirements. Evaluation during the residency emphasizes analytical judgment, institutional reasoning, and decision-making under constraint. Admission to coursework does not imply entitlement to residency participation or graduation.

Open Access to Coursework

SIAI GSB provides open access to designated online coursework as part of its commitment to treating knowledge dissemination as scalable academic infrastructure. Participants may engage with the curriculum independently, without formal admission barriers, provided they meet the stated academic prerequisites. The coursework establishes the analytical foundation necessary for advanced evaluation and is designed to be rigorous regardless of cohort size.

Open access does not constitute admission to a degree program, nor does it imply entitlement to certification. Instead, it allows intellectual self-selection to operate naturally: participants who demonstrate sustained engagement and mastery may progress toward eligibility for residency, where institutional supervision and formal evaluation begin.

Eligibility for Residency for Non-STEM AI MBA

Eligibility for the Non-STEM AI MBA residency is contingent upon successful completion of the required online coursework and demonstrated academic engagement. The residency is NOT an optional extension, but a mandatory stage of the program in which analytical judgment and institutional reasoning are assessed under full-time, in-person supervision.

Progression to residency reflects readiness for concentrated evaluation rather than competitive selection. However, eligibility does NOT guarantee graduation. Participants are expected to enter the residency prepared to work under sustained time constraints, collective scrutiny, and formal review. The residency represents the point at which institutional judgment replaces open access as the governing principle of the program.

Graduation Requirements for STEM Tracks

Graduation from the STEM tracks requires completion of advanced technical coursework and a supervised dissertation grounded in mathematical and statistical rigor. The dissertation component is designed to demonstrate independent analytical competence, methodological soundness, and the ability to engage with AI problems at a higher-education standard comparable to formal academic programs.

Supervision is structured and evaluative rather than advisory in nature. Candidates must defend their work, respond to methodological critique, and demonstrate conceptual understanding beyond tool-based implementation. The degree is awarded only upon satisfactory completion of both coursework and dissertation requirements, reflecting sustained technical proficiency and adherence to institutional academic standards.
